Jelly Bean Is Coming

Jelly bean, the newest operating Android operating system from Google is reportedly due to land on the Samsung Galaxy S3 this week! That's what the word on the webs is. Don't know about you, but I'm checking my updates every morning to see if it's ready.
How to check for updates on your Galaxy S3:
1. Tap your Menu button, tap the Settings option, scroll all the way to the bottom and tap About device, and tap Software update at the top. If there is an update available to download wirelessly, it'll tell ya.
2. On your computer run the Samsung Kies software, update the version if you are prompted to and connect your Galaxy S3. Once connected you'll be advised if there are any updates available, or if youare running the latest firmware.
RAWR - Samsung Fan Gets One Of A Kind Galaxy S3

The title pretty much says it all. One very lucky Samsung fan reportedly sent Samsung a drawing of a dragon in exchange for a free Galaxy S3. Samsung responded by sending him a drawing of a kangaroo. That is until they'd finished customising a Samsung Galaxy S3 with the original dragon drawing. Then they sent him that too! Samsung is awesome. That is some seriously positive PR. Whether or not the positive PR was Samsung's plan from the beginning, who cares. A story like this sure makes a giant like Samsung feel that much more personal, warm and fuzzy. Now if only they's recognize this blog and send us some goodies!
Limited Edition Team GB Galaxy S3

Olympic fever is definitely at a high and so, Mobiles.co.uk is now offering a specially branded Team GB limited edition of the Samsung Galaxy S3. It is available in white or blue and it's certainly a pretty cool way to remember the Olympics if you don't have any ticket stubs to hold on to. Get it here!
Wireles Charging For The S3 Just Makes Zens

When rumours of the Galaxy S3 were first popping up left right and just off centre, built in wireless charging was one of the features that caught my eye. It has been available via 3rd party external peripherals for other devices like the iPhone for some time, but it has never been an integral part of a device. Samsung is still supposed to be coming out with some sort of wireless solution soon but in the meantime, Zens - makers of wireless charging bases and cases have announced the upcoming release of a simple battery cover replacement for the Galaxy S3 which will allow wireless charging. It looks to mimic the original cover in marble white or pebble blue. Hopefully they'll send us a unit to test out and review for you. Till then, we'll be sure to keep you up to date on any wireless charging developments.
Beware The Exploding Galaxy S3 - UPDATE

It happens every time a new gadget is released, and now it's the Samsung Galaxy S3's turn. User dillo2k10 over on Boards.ie posted the above images of his Galaxy S3 which spontaneously combusted. The phone remained on, however signal was lost. The good news is that Samsung is already all over it and have brought dillo2k10 a replacement phone! THAT is how to keep us sweet.
UPDATE: You can exhale now. Turns out it was all a "mistake". Some looks like some kind of dumbass stuck the Galaxy SIII in a microwave to dry it after spilling water on it. I just cannot fathom it. How ridiculous. Enjoy your explosion free Galaxy S3 and hey, here's an idea, don't stick your Galaxy S3 in the freaking microwave!!!!
